The exhibition consists of 800 three-dimensional exhibits and 1000 photographs, including a library with a collection of socialist books, including Fučík’s Reportage, a period cinema with documentaries and documentaries, a meditation room and a meditation room. One of the attractions of the Iron Curtain Museum in Rozvadov in Tachov is also a functional military transmitter. The exhibition begins with the First World War, because it laid the foundations of the Iron Curtain, the unresolved relationships were reflected in the Second World War, after which we were separated from the Western Civilization Circuit. Ruins of Přimda Castle
Přimda is the ruins of the oldest known stone castle in the Czech Republic. It is located above the village of the same name between Bor and Rozvadov. The ruin is protected as a national cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The State Castle is managed by the National Monument Institute and is open to the public.
It was probably Přimda, in its stone form, founded by the Czech Prince Vladislav I to protect the borders. The first mention of the castle dates back to 1126 when the castle was rebuilt (together with Tachov and Zhořelec) by Prince Sobeslav I. From the beginning, Přimda also fulfilled the role of a state prison. In 1249 he tried Prison and Přemysl Prison (future King Přemysl Otakar II) after a revolt against his father and King Wenceslas I
During the 14th century, Přimda Castle became the center of some 15 villages, whose inhabitants were obliged to watch the border. For Jan Lucembursky, Primda, in exchange for cash, was arrested by nobility. Charles IV. as part of efforts to consolidate the ruler’s power and its support – the royal castles – Přimda paid off, and it has become one of the castles that must remain kings. In the following period, however, Přimda was stopped again.
In 1454 Přimda was placed in the custody of Švamberk. In their hands Přimda remained until 1592. The brothers Adam and Jindřich of Švamberk in 1548 divided the manor and the castle, while Adam became the so-called upper castle, while Jindřich’s lower castle (upper and lower castle were separated by a longitudinal rock crest). In the 16th century, Šmamberk was destroyed by Přimda and no partial repairs, and some new economic buildings did not improve the state of the castle. Some parts of the castle were also destroyed.
In 1609, the castle was already declared desolate, demolished and deserted. In 1711, a lightning strike hit the residential tower, and then its southwest part collapsed down to the ground level.
Since the mid-19th century, security work has been done on the donjon, which has helped him to save. Some parts, however, are practically a new building.
Tour Circuit “Hrad” offers a tour of the lower and upper courtyards, a 12th-century annex with a guide to the interior of a residential tower.
Memorial tree, in the former settlement Mílov (against the Smaragd pension). The biggest lime of Tachov and one of the biggest rivers of the Plzeň region. It reaches a height of 25 m and its trunk at a height of 130 cm is 714 cm. It is one of the stops along the Přímdski nature trail.

The village disappeared and the church was left to its fate. At present, it is at least an effort to keep its remnants.
Hunting lodge Diana
is named after the Greek goddess of hunting. It was built by the Kolowrat family before 1742, who came to the region under Přimda in 1675. It is accessible by road from Přimda to Svatá Kateřina, where at the intersection you turn to Diana. Cycle can be connected to cycle route No. 223.

EuroVelo 13. The Iron Curtain Trail – Part Plzeň Region
The EuroVelo 13 route in the Pilsen region starts near the border with Germany, specifically near the town of Reichenau (on the site of the former Hranička village). The monument to the victims of the First World War is now reconstructed on the hilltop of this former settlement. After the asphalt road we reach the small village Nové Domky. We continue towards the famous border town of Rozvadov, where we will visit the Iron Curtain Museum. A bit behind Rozvadov we turn to the forest, where we are going a bit further on the asphalt and then the forest way. After a few kilometers we reach the village of Železná, which is right on the border. We can stop at the Reconciliation Park, where there is also the Heart of Fever with some rare plants and animals. Then we cross the border to Germany. We will return to the Czech Republic through a pleasant gravel road through the small town of Friedrichschäng. At the Place of Nature, we head towards the remains of the displaced village of Pleš. Pleasant way we reach the village of Pond, where you can find a tourist center in the middle of untouched nature. There is a beautiful stretch of forest to the former settlement of Lučina, where the statue of St. Jan Nepomuk and the ruins of the church.
Then we head back to the border with Germany, where we will pass through the villages of Untergrafenried and Hammer. We go alternately in the woods and the meadows. We will pass the town of Waldmünchen and we are heading again on the border to the Czech Republic. We are just a short walk from the highest mountain of the Bohemian Forest, where the 24 meter high Stone Kurz lookout tower with a retro buffet is on top. Next to the 30 m military tower. And back to Germany, where we will pass a fairly long stretch through several villages, hills and hills, we will pass some nice downhill runs.
At Seuchau we order the lake on a slightly busy road. Then, several times we cross the border back and one of the returns to the Czech Republic will be near the well known Nýrsko reservoir. But we are already heading to the top of Ostrý, from where there is a beautiful view of the highest mountain of Šumava – the Great Maple. At the top of Ostrý there is also a tourist cottage from 1897. We will pass by the White Dragon Waterfall and we head directly to Černý jezer. Then we will pass by several interesting places. The first of these is the main European divide of the Elbe / Danube. This divide is on the way to Devil’s Lake. At the top of Mount Spicak there is a 26.5-meter high lookout tower with fantastic views from July 2014. It’s time to head for a moment to the city. The town is Železná Ruda, which is an important summer and winter tourism center.
We will go back to Germany and after a few kilometers we will definitely return to the Czech Republic, more precisely to the village of Prášily, where you will find a castle and an information center. Previously, we are going to visit the former settlements of Gsenget and Horni Ždánidla. We walk by a quiet road a short distance from the Powys Lake and the Poledník lookout tower. From this 37-meter high lookout tower there is a beautiful view all around. And so little of the beautiful views will pass through the Lookk tower. Then we will ride through the Tříjezerní mlat. This is an example of a typical Šumava peat bog. There is a 250m long educational trail around three peat ponds. And again we head to the town, this time to Modrava, known as the city from the novels of Karel Klosterman. The memorial of this novelist can be found in the secluded Březník. Březník is also the last point before the end of our almost 200 km long route, which ends near the Vltava River. For each border crossing see the Eurovelo 13 information sheet.
The route is marked all the time by the blue symbol EuroVelo 13.
